IMPLEMENTATION
Before the restoration of the facades, the exterior showed significant surface damage down to the depth. Architectural structures and details were disintegrating and disappearing under layers of acrylic coatings from the last repair. The NOVOTA ART company restored all the plaster parts of the facades in their original structure. Stucco and plaster elements, as well as figural reliefs, were cleaned, damaged parts were modeled, in places using casting into a mold. All metal materials have been restored. The stone cladding in the style of Cyclopean masonry was cleaned and restored. The restoration of the destroyed terrazzo balustrade was particularly difficult. Parts have been restored, supplemented according to the original. All wooden elements professionally treated. The same procedures were also implemented in the interior, during the renovation of the stairs. During the restoration, certified materials of the KEIM system were used. The works required a specific restoration art and craft procedure, in order to protect the original parts of the facades and the authentic expression of the whole and the details. The result of the restoration of the facades is in accordance with the intention of the functional and aesthetic reconstruction of the listed building.
