Galicia Nueva – oak gate
Luxury castle hotel Galicia Nueva in Galicia, design and implementation in the style of the complex. The castle is a National Cultural Monument.
Originally a renaissance anti-Turkish fortified castle on the site of a medieval fortress, it was transformed into a castle in the 60s of the 18th century by a baroque reconstruction according to the projects of the builder A. Meyerhofer. In 2016, the castle was opened after a demanding transformation into the luxury Galicia Nueva hotel complex. Because the original gate has not been preserved, f. NOVOTA ART designed and implemented a special solution in accordance with the style of the area. They were inspired by the typology of monumental baroque palace gates and created a stylish oak gate from wood imported from the Mediterranean region for a specific location.

Implementation
The gate was made of oak wood with conservation and surface treatment in a natural tone. It was created on the basis of a precisely developed graphic and spatial design f. NEW ART. The proportions were given by the monumental architectural portal of the original entrance to the area. The gate has a three-part division, in the middle there is a separate entrance through a door. The basic structure is created by vertical elements in the form of pilasters of the central entrance (door), the central covering bar of the gate and the upper glazed skylight. The gate has a dynamic division with typical baroque concave-convex lines. A prominent plastic element is a convex dynamic plinth and rococo ornamentation with stylish C-shaped elements, with a seashell motif and vegetative relief motifs. The elaborate ornamentation is the result of high-quality hand-carving finalization. The gate has a triple forged suspension system, which is based on period analogies. The finish of the rocaille motifs of the curtains has shiny brass tips, in keeping with the other brass elements of the Rococo-style gate.
